The
North Boston Volunteer Fire Company was founded in September of 1904, after
a fire destroyed Schunk's Hotel. Local resident Fred Frank rallied the men
of the town to form the first fire company. A small hand cart with a Gould
pump mounted on it was the company's first piece of fire apparatus. The
original hand pumper is on display at the Boston Historical Society Museum.
The North Boston Fire Company 53 Active Members are lead by Chief David
Bernas and President Donald O'Bryant, is supported by a Ladies Auxiliary. Pictured above is the North Boston Fire Station
