North Boston Firefighters Awarded
August 11-Hamburg

Seven North Boston Firefighters were recognized for their accomplishments by the Erie County Fireman's Association at the Erie County Fair on Fireman's Day 2006.

Firefighter John Braun received the Association's Service Award for under 15 years, President Donald O'Bryant secured the nod for 15 and over, while Fred Shear received Honorable Mention for his Lifetime Achievement Award.  Awarded EMS Provider of the Year went to Firefighters Robin Mead, Rodney Carr, Assistant Chief David Bernas and Chief Sean Crotty.

Earlier in the day, members of North Boston Fire Company and Boston EMS received the Firefighter News/VFIS Excellence Through Teamwork Award for the Fall of 2005 for their successful resuscitation of Firefighter James Carr.
