CHARLES DICKENS COMING TO BOSTON ON NOVEMBER 8
The North Boston Volunteer Fire Company is sponsoring Boston’s Mike Randall as
Charles Dickens in a solo performance of “A Christmas Carol” on Saturday,
November 8th at the Boston Valley Elementary School. Show time is 7
PM. Tickets are $10 each and may be reserved now by calling 649-8570. With
limited seating, this will be a sell out.Mike Randall, a meteorologist for WKBW-TV since 1983 and a resident of the North Boston Fire Company’s fire district, is donating his services in performing the Charles Dickens show for the benefit of the fire company’s building fund to construct a new fire hall on Herman Hill Road. The Buffalo News wrote last December that “Mike Randall’s show, somewhat presumptuously titled “Charles Dickens Presents ‘A Christmas Carol,’” offers a thoroughly entertaining glimpse into this beloved tale of yuletide redemption in a manner seldom seen on local stages, or for that matter, anywhere.” In conjunction with the show the fire company will be selling ads for the show’s program book. Persons and businesses interested in supporting the fire company’s building fund with a business ad or compliments of ad should call 649-8570. Ad prices are $25 for a quarter page, $50 for a half page, $75 for a three-quarter page and $100 for a full page. |
