Accidents keep firefighters busy
June 9, 2006

A pair of accidents kept firefighters busy over three day period. June 6, a motorist traveling the RT219 was lucky to escape with minor injuries when he got tangled up in the guide wire.
The driver was traveling South on the Route 219 in the driving lane when according to witnesses, a car in the passing lane attempted to exit at the Rice Road Exit at the last minute, causing the driver of the vehicle below to make an evasive maneuver. The vehicle came in contact with the guide wire, coming to a grinding halt. The driver was transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital with minor injuries.

In the Boston State Road at Ripple Drive accident, the driver of the Taurus was transported to a local hospital while the driver of the truck was treated at the scene and refused transport.
